An international college student must decide between returning to his city of birth or moving to the country he has come to love. But when his father unexpectedly passes away, his entire family is forced to confront the consequences of loss and leaving.

Billed as “a theatrical love letter to the places we call home”, Domestic Departure was written at the request of the Singaporean and Malaysian Students’ Union (SAMSU) at the University of Chicago.
